Having bought my first house at 19 years of age (just me & the bank), my hope was to build up resources so that one day I would be able to provide an even greater sanctuary for those who needed it most. It's reported that this need has grown exponentially in our beloved 'lucky country'. Homelessness & domestic violence are on the rise. Boys aged 14 years and over are NOT permitted to stay with their mothers in most facilities; girls are not permitted to stay with their fathers in emergency accommodation. This is understandable, but why disintegrate the family unit even further at such a traumatic time?
It's time for this to change! - For the AngelMuse® vision to become a reality. Read more under 'Vision & Mission' statements below.
When you participate in our events, purchase an EP, poem poster & other products on offer, you are contributing to effectively ameliorating the lives of others. If you'd like to personally contribute or participate, or have some great ideas, please notify us through our 'Contact Us' page.

TESTIMONIALS:
I first met Annie when we were young and keen, both working as Psychiatric Nurses. She was a strong, caring leader, even then.
We re-met many years later - both having gone through difficult times and survived family violence. Even though her health has been severely affected, Annie's thoughts have always been to help others. She has worked tirelessly to empower women (men & children) effected by family violence, and to assist others, even when her own life was marred by ill health, homelessness and financial difficulties at times.
She is a beautiful woman with a strong sense of family and community. Extremely talented, she has used her beautiful singing voice and songwriting abilities to raise money and awareness towards her dream of setting up a sanctuary for others who need a hand in overcoming their own difficulties.
I believe that Annie's experiences, her warm personality, inner strength, and professional knowledge will make this a reality. Annie needs help....not for herself but for those who need a safe-haven.

We appreciate you ♥

AngelMuse® Vision & Mission Statements...
Vision & Mission statements
Vision
To create an opportunity for people who have been marginalised through extraordinary life circumstances to access equipment / services that will ameliorate their life/ livelihood, where there are no other means to do so (particularly single parent families, especially those abused because of domestic violence)
Mission statement
To predominantly provide single mothers (& occasionally fathers) whom have been marginalized due to domestic violence and additional factors ie very poor health, the opportunity to have urgent necessities met that are not being met by the individual's own private insurances, health fund, superannuation funds nor the public system ( incl Local/State/Federal Government assistance), NGOs / Charities such as the Salvation Army, St Vincent's etc
Aims & Objectives
We aim to do this by hopefully being able to provide the following (so please spread the word cause we need your help)
Assistance provided may vary from a 'one off' situation (include assistance in their obtaining health needs ie surgery, sleep apnoea equipment etc), provide assistance in re-locating; to a more ongoing support ie having basic needs such as food, clothing. Eventually an in-house project will be developed, operate & maintained whereby those single parent families coming out of d.v. (where the parent is ill & unable to work & has no support from family/friends etc), will be able to have their & their children's immediate needs met if they do not have the funds to do so; whilst living in a secure, home-like environment conducive to recovery, improved state of mind & well-being.
This will include helping rehabilitate &/or regenerate the parent & children from the traumas of d.v; providing transport/ companion to & from the medical appts, to & from the children's schools (if required), support whilst re-cooperating, then training & support in all areas that will help the parent be able to re-enter the workforce, including budgeting, and other relevant activity training to help them lead a successful family life. This will ultimately conclude 4-6 weeks after the parent has re-entered the workforce & had time to resolve any issues that may have arisen (ie re-established a work/family routine) & hopefully have sufficient funds to pay bond & one months rent (or better still, purchase a property).
To assist in providing opportunities to single-parent families (with no other supports) to remain together, in a healthy, loving environment when every other opportunity to achieve this has been thwarted due to circumstances they are unable to change at the present time or due to chronic or terminal ill health.
To provide an opportunity for individuals marginalized in our society (and their children, if they have them) assistance in being able to live together / stay together and have their basic needs met (if they do not otherwise have the funds to do so), where they otherwise could not; whilst living in a loving, secure, therapeutic, home-like environment conducive to recovery, improved state of mind & well-being.
To provide the opportunity to have urgent necessities met (including rehabilitation/regeneration) that are not being met by the individual's own private insurances, health fund, superannuation funds nor the public system ( incl Local / State / Federal Government), NGOs / Charities such as the Salvation Army, St Vincent's etc provided that they sign a legal contract agreeing to all the terms, conditions & stipulations of the program.
To provide varying degrees of assistance from a 'one off' situation (include assistance in their obtaining health needs ie surgery, sleep apnoea equipment etc), re-locating; to a more ongoing support ie having basic needs such as food, clothing met.
To ultimately assist this family (& those they may influence in their sphere of influence) to be well-equipped, able, stable, confident, contributing members of society on a familial, local, state and perhaps federal / global level and thus improve their quality of life & those around them ♥
